Glenn Stiemens signs on with Sports Interactive

Programmer of the Cricket Coach series of PC games, Glenn Stiemens, has left its developers Rockingham Software to begin work at Sports Interactive, the firm behind the critically acclaimed Football Manager games.

Stiemens joined Rockingham Software in October 2004 and assisted its founder Oli Norwell to rewrite his cricket coaching game Michael Vaughan's Cricket Manager and release it as Cricket Coach and Cricket Coach 2007.

The move has sparked rumours of a cricket management title being released by Sports Interactive, widely believed to be the 'masters' of management games.

Rockingham Software founder Norwell has pledged to release a Cricket Coach title based on Twenty20 cricket alone.

Given how few replies there are, it has hardly sent shockwaves around. However, it could be the start of something very exciting.

I don't think they'll be making a cricket game... see http://community.sigames.com/showthr...81#post1385581

I've also noticed his posts mainly relate to the development of FM, rather than on a new cricket sim. We can but hope, however!

Woops, seems that's the wrong link... I'm sure I remember him saying something that he wasn't invovled in a new cricket game.

EDIT - Here it is: http://community.sigames.com/showthr...563#post401563
