OD match 2 - Notts v Lancs.

Team
Moore
Naylor
Hussey
Gallian*
Ervine
Kempston+
Reid
Footitt
Sidebottom
Harris
Shreck

On what lookde like a bowler friendly pitch, Notts chose to bat first. We got an early breakthrough as Shreck bowled sutcliffe for 14. but the next wickets were hard to come by. Reid who had been bowling well in the FC matches so far this term did not have as much luck and only managed 1/31 off 6. Charlie Shreck was the pick of the notts attack with 3/35 off his 10.
Notts got off to a very good start losing there first wicket after 113. The lancs bowling attack was far too accurate for the boys to score many runs and although there was a late surge in the last 5 overs, we could not reach the target that Lancs had set. Jason gallian went for the big one of the last ball but missed and was cleaned up by chapple. Well Played Naylor and Hussey contributing 67 and 62 respectively.

OD match 3 Warks vs Notts.

The notts batsmen posted a modest total for warwickshire to chase down. Slow scoring and accurate bowling kept the scoring down. Stephen Moore and David Hussey managed to pass the 50 mark.
Warks easily chased down the total set by the notts batsmen with 11 overs to spare. Westwood was unbeaten on 93 with Harris managing to pick up the only wicket to fall.

OD Match 4 - Notts vs Derbyshire.

Team.
Gallian*
Naylor
Hussey
Kempston
Ervine
Reid
Myerscough+
McMahon
Sidebottom
Harris
Shreck

Lost 2 key batsmen, Moore and Cranshaw, to england duties.

A poor bowling performance to start the innings. With only Ryan Sidebottom managing to keep his economy below 5. He managed 1/48 off his 10. Shreck and Reid managed 2 wickets each but shreck was far too expensive, going at over 7 an over.

A mediocre batting performance at best. David Hussey the only batsman to get above 25 and he managed 58. The derbyshire bowlers proving to strong for the notts batsmen with Dean taking 6/40 off 7.

FC match 5 - Notts vs Gloucestershire.

Team:
Gallian
Holmes
Hussey
Kempston
Ervine
Myerscough
Reid
Frankis
McMahon
Harris
Shreck

Gloucestershire batted first. A Decent start as the two openers put on 51 for the first wicket until McMahon took Hayden LBW for 29 with Weston falling soon after to the bowling of Reid. Clews and Gidman put on a decent partnership then both fell LBW to Reid and McMahon respectively. Taylor made a decent 69 at number 6 and the innings progressed to 315 all out. Reid Finished with fine figures of 5-79 off 37.

Notts won the toss and elected to bowl first on a pitch that seemed decent to bat on later on in the match. Notts got off to a good start with Gallian and Holmes putting on a rapid 68 for the first wicket. Both Gallian and Holmes were bowled by Fisher for under 45 but both had impressed at the top of the order. Hussey came in at 3 and set the innings up with a fine 76. a few quick wickets fell but Myerscough came in and partenered by Franks they brought the score up to 7-388 Franks was run out for a 106 (at number 8) and the innings came to a close soon after finishing on a decent 464 all out. Myerscough finished with 125* his first century in FC cricket.

Gloucestershire then batted again. They got off to a good start and where 1-75 when Hayden departed after edging to Myerscough off the bowling of Franks for a decent 48. The Glouc'shire boys then moved onto 2-188 after Franks bowled Clews for 52. Gidman followed 2 overs later when Franks trapped him plumb infront of the Sticks for a single. Kabir Ali made a swift 60 and a decent partnership with Weston before the latter was trapped LBW by reid for 119. Ali was then C&B by McMahon for 60. At one stage Glouc'shire were fairly comfortable at 4-277 they collapsed to 297 all out.

With only a few overs left, All Notts had to do was bat out the overs as there was no chance of a win. They lost the early wicket of Gallian and then Hussey followed5 overs later. Chester took 2 wickets in 5 balls and at one stage notts were 6-57. a 25 from reid and 25 from Franks took them over the line.

OD match 5 - Notts vs Scotland.

Team.

Holmes
NAylor
Hussey
Kempston
Ervine
Myerscough
Reid
Franks
Sidebottom
Harris
Shreck

Notts 192 for 9 after 50.
Naylor 46

Maiden 3 for 43 off 10.

Pretty Dire performance with the bat from Notts. Naylor the only batsman to get past 40. Decent effort by the scots to restrict the total.

Scotland - 196 for 9 off 49
R Haq 45

R Sidebottom - 3 for 30 off 9.

Dire performance with the ball by Notts and Franks inparticular going at over 6 an over. The other bowlers performed well and Harris took 1 for 23 off his 10.

Scotland won by 1 Wicket.

OD match 6 - Notts vs Yorks.

Team.

Gallian
Naylor
Hussey
Moore
Ervine
Kempston +
Reid
Franks
Sidebottom
Harris
Shreck

Yorks won the toss and elected to bat ona seamer friendly pitch. The notts bowlers made early inroads to the Yorks line-up and at one stage they were 4 for 47. They recovered witha a 140 partnership between Follett & Townsend to post a decent 222 for 7.

Notts needed 4.5 an over to secure victory. They batted watchfully until Gallian fell To Hoggard for 5. Naylor soon followed being caught LBW for 15 off 42 balls which was far too slow. Hussey and Moore then set about constructing the win. At first they played themselves in. Taking singles and hitting the odd 4. The run rate soon began to climba dn with 7 overs left 49 runs were still needed. They soon switched to agressive and hit 6 4's and 2 6's finishing off the game. The mammoth 171 partnership was too good for the Yorkshire bowlers. Hussey finished on 99* and Moore 88* as notts won by 8 wickets.

Yorkshire - 222 for 7

D Townsend 90
D Follett 85

C Shreck 2 -37
P Franks 2-46

Notts 223-2

D Hussey 99*
S Moore 88*

M Hoggard 2-33

Nottinghamshire win by 8 Wickets
