Cricket Coach - new features for Softwrap users

To coincide with the unveiling of a new website, there has been news of a feature update for Softwrap users. I believe Oli is looking in to making an update available for CD users.

The address for the website is:

http://www.cricketcoachgame.com/

The announcement is found below:

"Cricket Coach Pro - first news and guide to new features

Posted by Oli Norwell on July 10th 2006

Wimbledon might have vanished from the back pages quicker than Henman's title hopes and the World Cup might have finished yesterday but fear not - cricket is back in the news with the first Cricket Coach upgrade for softwrap users, featuring a mouth watering set of improvements, set to be released later this month.

We've taken on board as many of the suggestions made by fans and have introduced a variety of new features to suit all players of the game.

Features for Cricket Coach Pro edition include:

Bowling plans editor - a new concept for cricket management titles enables you to construct your own plans against each batsman. Choose your own field setting, suggest a line and length and even the type of ball movement and hope that your bowler is good enough to put in place your plan!

Real life records - can you alter history and put your name in the record books? Real life records for Test match, one day international, first class and list A cricket are fully included and easily editable - meaning you can keep them fully up to date.

Man of the match awards - will you agree with the man of the match award? It won't matter so long as you keep winning and your players keep performing, man of the match awards will serve to boost individuals confidence!

Improved news items - each news item now includes a little snippet of information about the player in question, giving you essential background reading.

Skin changer - easily switch between skins within the game without any hassle.

Player photos - add your own player photos to the game and view them on their profile.

Scorecard output - output scorecards of your classic matches to HTML format and share them with the world.

More details to follow, but to further excite you, we've included several screenshots to highlight the new features - view them now!"

Is there any way of skipping to the next match without having to click 'continue' hundreds of times? It's infuriating.

I must say this new version is quite good.

The bowling plan is a great new feature and the batting agression bars are more responsive and now it feels like a cricket management game where you have to use tactics to build an innings.Only if they can introduce a player editor this game would easily be the best.

Go to the cricket coach website (www.cricketcoachgame.com) and click on forums, when the forums appear, click on Cricket Coach Pro, and then follow the link to the beta version!

Hope this helps!

The FULL version of Cricket Coach Pro has now been released. Oli and Glenn are currently looking in to a possible way of allowing CD users to upgrade for an extra £10.

This is available from the following link:
