Mikey's English Story (new format)

International Only - ENGLAND - (Normal)

new format - My story format is different to all those that we love to read, but after a while sort of turn off. This new format is designed to not only show how the season(s) are going, but it also gives an idea into the performance's on players in the game by match votes being given.

This format will be set out as follows:

1st Test - Home v Away - Ground - Season
3. Player Name - Performance
2. Player Name - Performance
1. Player Name - Performance
Result

Scores will be up soon

Well, quite a bad year for England's campaign to move up the WISDEN tables in the test ranks, but this season showed some good signs. England added more debutants into the test arena with all of them showing signs, but played inconsistant. Andrew Strauss started well, and became useless in Australia. J Kelly got 6/71 on debut to then be expensive and wicketless next three bowling innings. Other debutants included Ali Brown, Vikram Solanki, Matthew Wood, Ian Bell, Eddie Giddins and Michael Robinson- who all didnt perform, but one did - Christopher Bassano. Bassano found his way back into the side for the Ashes, replacing Strauss. He made useful scores and consistantly. Andy Flintoff was the top improver, playing in every test (despite injuring himself during the Boxing Day test and didnt contirbute anything).

TEST PLAYER OF THE YEAR

19 - N Hussain
10 - A Flintoff

Well, I made 'A Cricket Captains Diary' last month for Surrey. It can be found on this forum, now, that is long, should check it out - I ould give somebody $20 to read it.

Yeah, i think this is a good format for something every fan of ICC loves doing, and I think it might continue into another season, unlike the other stories.

I might check in on your story buggsy - a bit bored while resting the ICC.

One-Day Series - 'ICC World Cup 2003' - 2002/03

England played 6 matches - Won 3 Lost 3 (4th in Pool)

Sorry to the English, I couldn't get into the super-sixes stage.

I won games against Zimbabwe, Namibia and Netherlands (scoring 463/8), but they were penciled in as victories. It was more disappointing that we lost against the three test playing nations, as two of the losses were decided in the final over of those games. AUS beat me needing 8 off the final over, IND won on the 3rd ball of the over, when having only 1 wicket in hand, needing 2 runs. Pakistan wasn't a thrashing either.

Cheers mate - all fixed, and I would probably never had noticed it until unknown. The stats still resemble the same though - great batting, bowling needs plenty of work on, and hopefully that can be repared next season.
