Blewy

Cricketer Of The Year
Won the toss and elected to bat 1st on a decent wicket... There was a hint of cloud cover but nothing to worrying..

We struggled from the outset.. runs were being scored at an excrutiatingly painful rate but we ended up with a total of 8/169, mainly thanks to Weekes and Weston...

In reply the bowlers kept us in the game, with some very tight bowling...
with 3 overs to go they still needed 11 to win but in the end our total was 20-30 runs to short...

Next up was the Four Day game...
We lost the toss and were going to be behind it from the start, 4th day wicket which was going to turn, Day 2 and 3 expected to be very overcast...
After the 1st session we might as well just packed up and went home..
An opening stand of 167 from Glamorgan had us in tatters, and set them up for a massive 472...
In reply we just aimed at hanging in and seeing where we could get to.. We stuggled early on but wickets remained in tact but we fell to 5-158...
Then the saving partnership... Nash and Weston piled on a 222 run stand to get us passed the follow-on mark and into a challenging spot...

Looking for quick wickets we got them having Glamorgan 2-14, but then they again dominated, taking the score to 2/198 before declaring...

Out of the game, needing close to 300 in just over 2 sessions, we were resigned to batting it out, and despite struggling we held on for a valuable draw...

again had a sniff but bowling lacked strikepower to put them away, fantastic knock by shah, a good showing against a much better lancashire side but needed to be better than good
shah batted well in both one day games at no.6 while brown again proved he is a capable opener, simon cook bowled very tidy and tuffers is on the improve.
eddy joyce didn't come off and maunders continues to exercise poor form.

We should try and do it over MSN. Also are we going to do the Art Money cheat?

About to play now...

Glamorgan piled on runs in the first innings thanks to a century from Maynard and alot of good partnerships. The ymanaged 411 all out.

However we responded brilliantly with centuries to Koenig and the current star of our Four-Day batting line-up Brown. Great partnerships down the order as well with Razzaq, Creese, Alleyne and Laraman.

Their second innings the ywere dismissed cheaply. Keaving us 250 odd to win from 1 1/2 sessions. We chased it early but slipped away quickly. Hanging on for a tight draw nine wickets down!

We won the toss and elected to bat like a nice pitch.

After an early wicket of Weekes who managed to make 0 from 20 balls!! We consolidated well with a 107 run partnership between Strauss amd Brown(Also proving to be a goood one day player!). The slog started at the 33rd over and the next over Shah was dismissed. That brought Razzaq to teh crease, who's 54 from just 35 balls helped us to make a good looking 7/253 from our 45 overs. A great position to be in!

A great bowling effort which saw the home side dismissed for just 203. Razzaq being the star with the ball taking four wickets, even if they were at the price of his economy, with 4/68 from his 9. Tufnell played a grea supporting role bowling in tandom with Razzaq managing 3/36 from his 6. Razzaq secured man of the match and Middlesex secured their second NL win of the season!
