Kudos to the big fella, tho. One of nature's good guys. First major for a decade, I'd guess?

Yep he was Scott's age when he won his last, was expecting him to get up to about 10.

that was a collapse that would have made norman proud...wow!

well done ernie...it is good to see that he has some gas left in the tank! 4th major and spread out over 3 decades...great career!

another sunday meltdown from tiger at a major...he is getting quite consistent at that!

If he isn't in front after 3 rounds he does nothing. Strange career.

yeah has to be one of the most spectacular collapses in major history...and it was not like he was hitting it wildly...just a string of small mistakes at exactly the wrong time...

it's more like he does too many things...and that too not well...the difference between thursday/friday and the weekend at the two opens this year was quite amazing...at the masters, at least he was consistently poor all 4 days...

Certainly rank Phil above Ernie - aside from Tiger he has been the best of the past decade or so

Still in shock, mind you

Very similar really, both won 4, but should, on talent, have won more, both have seemed intimidated by Tiger at his peak.

Guess, I think Phil's the better player, really has been unlucky to not notch another couple of majors, and his record on the PGA tour is pretty damn good. Ernie a good record elsewhere though, so pretty close, but just Phil.
