Lee Westwood stunned by Rafael Cabrera-Bello on fnal round of Dubai Desert Classic - Telegraph

For a guy that is probably the best striker of a golf ball around, it is really surprising how relatively poor Westwood is around the green.

It's not that he 3 putts/duffs chips etc, it's more a case of not threatening the hole all that often

His stats might look ok (cbf checking tbh) but there is little doubt that he leaves strokes out there more often than not and I dont reckon his short game is top 100 material

I amm, odd tournament starting on a wednesday though. Woods had better step up against Watney, because if he plays like that today, he's gone.

Yeah, and Rory could be there a while, coming into form at just the right time, with the season ahead of him.

Tbf, Donald was sensational last year - first official member to win both the European and PGA tour money list in the same year IIRC

Lasted all of 2 weeks!

Dont know that he'll be complaining too much as I reckon he'd have earned a fortune in that time given the hype surrounding him

Anyway, Donald is a pretty good player and certainly looks more comfortable at No. 1 than Westwood ever did

Reminds me a bit of Faldo but hopefully isnt as big a ****

Geez, Tiger leading by 3 after 1 hole of the final round of Bay Hill and McDowell goes 29ft, 51ft and then 45ft - think I'll stay up

I have almost zero interest in Golf but I'm watching the entire Final Round because of Tiger. I can't think of another athelete who could get me to watch a sport I don't have an interest in.
