good places for Rory and Hideki too, think they're my masters pick along with Koepka and Fitzpatrick.
Outside small bets on previous winners, Schwartzel, Reed and Willett with 12 places these thing can work.
Zalatorias, Finau and Morikawa maybe worth a look, but I'm undecided.

They are huge odds, and may squeeze top 12 because of being course specialists as I say small bets, but hey, along with Reed I backed them when they won so there's some, **** it they gave me decent cash before, so carry on. Mind you it runs out after awhile, I won't be betting on Singh or olazabal...
I will probably put about 50p ew on Willett, it's not an huge outlay.
It’s a strange tournament as half the field generally has next to no chance & this year is a prime example
Garcia is 175-1 and starting to hit the ball well again as is Bubba plus Lucas Glover is 400-1
Those guys are a better bet than some others further up the board
I’d put money on completely crocked Tiger before quite a few others and I doubt that his body will hold up for more than a couple of days

it's been a great tournament for me betting-wise, they give great each-way odds for a limited field, for golf, with wins of over 50-1 for Weir, Singh, schwartxel, Reed, Willett, plus Matsuyama, Woods when he first won it at 20-1. But hey I put about 8 punts on, and for contrast at the Open I don't think I've had a winner since Faldo...
I am not a betting man but if I was, I’d be tempted to have a flutter on Hideki and maybe Rose for value as he always does well here
Scheffler looks ridiculously short to me at under 5s while I am always tempted to back Scott but that heart over head stuff as he’s a choker these days
Would love to see Reed or Phil win again for the brain explosions from the PGAT fanboys

Just been going through the stats for a Masters comp I always enter (don't do golf betting anymore). I came to the conclusion that Scheffler's current level of form is akin to Woods near his best who would go off at about 6-4. Not sure 9-2 is a crazy price at all, especially when so many of his close competition are completely off form.
McIlroy and Matsuyama look the most likely to test him (and Spieth has a kind draw on Thursday if the morning wave do have to play in the heavy rain). Hard to know what Koepka will do, but he's been poor in LIV recently. Can't see Rahm defending (no one has recently) whilst we know how first timers struggle (Aberg/Clark).
Cam Young looks massively over-priced to me at about 45-1, got a feeling Sam Burns could go well this time too. For complete outsiders, I was taken by Kitayama and Hadwin.
Can’t recall ever seeing Tiger choke like Scheffler did in his very last tournament
The comparisons with Tiger are ridiculous and just goes to show how little the PGAT scribes have to write about

It could be pointed out that Scheffler already has twice as many Players Championships as Tiger. He's only been beaten by one player in his last 3 tournaments, and that down to a 2ft missed putt. That putt also put an end to his run of under par rounds which I think was at 14. I know he's not Tiger, but there's no doubting his ball striking is miles ahead of his peers at the mo. Now he's on a course he's won at before and frankly plays to his strengths, I really don't think 9-2 is a daft price. It might even look rather generous come Sunday, especially if the weather forces a delay today which will favour the morning starters over the next 2 days as a result.

Spectacular opening round from DeChambeau. Scheffler doing what he is expected to do. Woods having a pretty decent round in windy conditions but he looked tired there at the 13th, has 23 holes to play tomorrow…a WD or MC still very much on the cards for him…

I think you've added an hour on there, it was slow but not that bad. The final group teed off at 4.30pm, they're halfway down the 11th after 3 hours 15 mins of play when it was called off.
I said Scheffler should be more like a 6-4 shot, well now he is. It's possible the only thing that can stop him is Mrs Scheffler.
Great round by Bryson, but he undoubtedly had the best of the conditions - he won't today with the wind looking even worse for the later starters (which does include Scheffler). Hojgaard, Homa and Hatton (must be something to do with an H) going well from those with the best conditions today.
