Phil Neville gutted to see the heart torn out of Bury when both his parents worked at the club and his dad has a stand named after him. Shame he and his brother don’t have money to toss at a football club........
In fairness to Gary, he can't own two league clubs. Possibly sell his stake in Salford to Lim, but he's already invested into the club so...

Having said that, he'll be first in to put flats on Gigg Lane

It's schadenfreude of the best/worst kind, but the sight of a palpably overly-refreshed Dean Saunders trying to seem not utterly arseholed surely warms the ****les of those of us who could never stand the smug Leekist ****.

Only thing lacking is a "Do you know who I am?"

He must be thanking his lucky stars that the Leeds deal fell through in January. He might think he was a bit hasty choosing to play for Wales though.

Southampton love a tactical foul.

Kind of embarrassing that so many bottom half teams have vastly, vastly superior managers to us.

He is hopeless when it comes to subs isn't he? Greenwood getting **** all time again.

Ole has bet heavily on Rashford and to a lesser extent Martial to get it done and while early its a risky call.

Rashford isn't surrounded by quality and is young, but you look at his numbers as a striker and its not good enough no matter how compelling the mitigating factors may be.

Also Perrera is awful. At least Jesse can dance a bit.

Football is easy for City. It's like playing a video game on beginner setting.

I wonder how good Rashford's numbers might have been if he'd played at Liverpool or Man City instead.

Periera and Mata didn’t work in that formation. The 3 new signings were good again. Mixed bag from the rest. Pogba wasn’t really interested till he was pushed forward.

If the red card was before the subs then Matic doesn’t come on and Mata stays. Lingard is playing himself out of the squad in displays reminiscent of Rooney’s last days. All those slow telegraphed shots and not looking to pass is awful.

I think it’s the right thing to do for sure. The squad is full of mistakes that need gradually cleared out. The absolute earliest we could build a title challenging team for would be the 2021/22 season. We’ve got a few really promising young players so gotta give them the game time even if they can’t do it every week.

Problem is I don’t think Solskjaer is the man to do it. Maybe we get super lucky and he turns out to be good at improving players but why wouldn’t you employ someone who’s shown they can do it before?
