Despite all the rumours, I still really had my doubts as to if this would actually happen, but lo and behold here we are. Thrilled for Kubica though, will certainly be excited to see what he still has to offer

And in other motorsport news, the Supercars champoinship wrapped up in Newcastle yesterday, Scott McLaughlin wins his first title. End of an era with Craig Lowndes to retire from fulltime racing

Yeah, saw that, was an interesting read. 1994 was a strange strange year in many respects.

Anyone this might as well make this a general F1 thread, not just 2018 specific. Irritatingly I can't edit the title of the thread, if a mod could do that it would be good.

Don't mind the look of the new Haas, I had always thought their Red/White/Black scheme was very generic. It just smacked of a HRT style rent-a-livery.

May very well clash with Renault though.

    Ah, autocorrect you bastard

EDIT: as for the new Haas, looks good, if a little bit like a poor mans JPS Lotus

Is the theory that Senna was chatting shite about traction control and people paid far too much attention to his views?

Glad to see Williams have signed a multi-year deal with their new title sponsor, hopefully this will allow them to hold on to their Merc engines for at least another couple of seasons. I was getting pretty worried after their deal with Martini ended.

So the Williams sucks up a manhole cover and destroys itself, the recovery crane hits a bridge and showers the car in oil.

This is the first time I've watched in years. Amazing.

Hey flem, do you fancy re-opening the debate where I tried to argue you were wrong about Williams being a complete write-off for 2019? I reckon I can still win this one........

    Just gone over that.

I think you may have been wrong on that one.

Meh, still more than half a season to go. I'm awaiting the updates......

Failing that we'll just fuse Kubica and Sir Frank into one working human and see where that gets us
