BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2017

The tickets are on sale but there aren't any contenders. They might have to give it to Mo Farrah for overlooking him before. A bit like when Jethro Tull won a Grammy for best Rock Band.

Women's cricket team might have a nominee or two, Sciver, Beaumont or Brunt perhaps.
He (Alastair Cook) and his family are very much the sort of people we want the England captain and his family to be
    Giles Clark
What we are doing here is future-proofing county cricket
    Tom Harrison.
We want to make the game as simple as possible for them (mums and kids) to understand
    Andrew Strauss.

Hamilton might have had a chance but he has zero personality. Be Joshua if he wins his next fight.

Despite the title of the award itís not about personality as Steve Davis, Michael Owen and Nick Faldo will testify. Ryan Giggs also has no personality and the year he won he did nothing special either. Joshua a good shout.

It's probably bad that I didn't recognise four of them from the picture and have never heard of one even upon seeing the name.

Even though Anthony Joshua got up off the canvas to stop Klitchko in a pulsating 11 round fight, one has to ask did it take more courage than Prince Harry showed in introducing a black American to his grandfather?

So Stokes or Prince Harry for me.

He has some extremely dodgy connections but AFAIK they haven't proven anything and his reputation is still, for now, above water.

Mo won, huge surprise is Joshua who was 1/10 in some places did not even reach the top 3, nor did Hamilton second favourite.

Been a bit of controversy around Joshua of late hasn't there?

Not really paid much attention, but assumed the masses loved him?

I know he was a bit dodgy when he was a wee lad, but that all seems behind him.
