BARNES OUT
I may live to regret this statement but there's more of a chance of me wanking every member of CW off than there is of Sterling moving in this deal IMO.

Arsenal have no leverage here other than the player, but the player is basically worthless to them if they price him out of a move and will leave next season for nothing. They'll eventually take the 50-60m, pretend like they had no time to spend it even though they could've done this a month ago and pocket the cash.

****ing hell, David Wheeler going to a naff club like QPR with a naff manager like Holloway.

Pretty gutted about this one, probably more so than any transfer, I dunno, maybe ever:(

Come home from work and Arsenal seem to be selling the entire squad. Going to be a busy and mad few days for them trying to replace the ones going.

Sterling would maybe join Arsenal because he's a Londoner.

+ London is one of the great world cities to live in if you have money. Manchester is not.

Fair play for believing in himself, but rejecting £220k a week and (presumably) a starting spot at Chelsea because he thinks he can play CM for a top six side is next level delusion.

Smart move for Gibbs imo.
Dunno, Gibbs gets injured a lot and WBA tend to resort to playing four CBs after two bad results in a row. He's more at risk of becoming a reserve there than at almost any other PL club. But the price suggests they were the only ones in for him and this move probably beats staying at Arsenal.

That's the thing, they probably won't. Wenger will resign Diaby and claim getting Wilshere fully fit is like a new signing.

Wenger is more machine than man now, twisted and evil.

London's a ****hole. I would think Sterling is a good fit for the CDMs' because of their high 'made of tissue paper' quota.

Arsenal have no plans to replace AOC & no money for major signings, but only way Sanchez leaves is if #AFC get massive money & replacement

How in the world do we have no money despite being in profit for this window? The mismanagement at this club goes beyond first team affairs.

Yeah it's falling apart. Right move was obviously to ship Ox, Sanchez, Ozil out in June then spend the summer rebuilding for the future. I think Wenger didn't want to because he's only on a two year deal. But the next best thing would be to keep them, splash out hard and then put everything into this season. His confused middle ground is the worst of both worlds.

Probably still won't fall below 6th though. None of the rest look ready to step up imo.

Premier League financial fair play is also a stumbling point. Can't increase your wage bill more than £7m year on year.

Can't confess to know the details of their wage bill but they did get Lukaku, Deulofeu, Cleverley and Barry off the books from the start of last season.
