I presume that's the odds from a fixed point in time to make it look more dramatic. If you choose the starting point then you ignore the first incidence, which will reduce the odds by a significant factor. Also the fact that you're not picking a specific team, as opposed to just any decent team who's had good runs recently, which reduced it by a factor of 10 or more.
The odds of it happening at some point to some team in the past few years are going to in the order of 100s to 1.
