I don't mind Dugan. He's a bit limited but he's good at what he does. Ferguson's a centre and isn't good enough to be picked out of position imo. I don't have a problem with either being dropped if the culture issue is too great, it's pretty clear that NSW's issues aren't solely based on ability. It's not like we're starved for centers either.

Thing is these recriminations always seem to happen after the series is over. It's all well and good to say Dugan should be dropped when we're 10 months away from picking another team. Are the selectors going to maintain this conviction for that length of time? My money's on no.

Compare the reaction of NSW to Ferguson and Dugan having a bender with Qld's suspending from Origin involvement their blokes who did the same thing at the beginning of 2016.

Nah Dugan's a piece of ****. And not that good. He brings a deficit to the team. Get rid of him. No loss. Take Ferguson on a pub crawl. Invite Tod Carney.

The overreaction to the Blues defeat is a bit OTT

Let's face it, QLD has a spine comprised of 3 of the GOATs plus an incredibly gifted youngster

NSW can't compete with that and if the other Maroons do their jobs, they are still a level above as Game 3 showed

Its a different issue. Besides NSW have some great players. Qld are better because they're tighter. They weld disparate players across clubs and forge a team, tradition and culture. That's what NSW have to beat and wont do it with players who reckon they should say when they start, coaches who cave to player pressure and deadbeats who will always let the team down no matter how many chances they're given.

Btw even though the baddies won again, its exciting to see the rise of Cameron Munster especially when Australia's great halves are close to retiring and we've been looking out for a new contender.
