you've gotta admit, it is pretty funny that nsw's best half was when pearce was hurt. poor guy must have run over a cat.

Commentary was talking that up as the end of an era and if true it was a fitting end to the last 12 years of Origin. Cordner and Pearce falling over each other to let Munster stroll between them. Fifita and Woods lazing around while a hail mary offload hits a front rower to stroll over untouched. Graham giving away an utterly bone headed penalty when we're absolutely murdering them. Pearce throwing the ball into Cordners back. Pearce throwing the ball into Gillett's head. Pearce throwing a hospital pass to a front rowers bootlaces then screaming obscenities at him when he drops it. If this is the end of an era it's the send off this NSW team deserves.

On the other hand QLD were incredible. Smith was unbelievable in that first half, Cronk not far behind and Munster did well despite not being a 5/8th. Forwards were immense and the whole team had much more energy and desire. Well deserved win, as usual.

Rare to see 17 people on one team get collective stage fright. Terrible from NSW. Qld were very good without really having to do much which was exceptional. Completed their sets, kicked and chased well.
