Now a mainstream sport as it will be in the Olympics for the first time in 2020 and is allegedly the world's fastest growing sport

The latter is not surprising as it is very cheap (a 2nd hand board can be bought for $5 and entry to the water is free), great fun and most of the earth is water with all continents having some good breaks

The WSL (basically the world championship) is shown live on Foxtel and they are amazing, fearless athletes

If you get the chance, check it out as they are world class athletes, the skill is incredible and the locations are spectacular

Florence & Wright are by far the best atm

Shame that the sporting world has been robbed of a few years of 2 of the best ever

yeah to be honest I just can’t support the WSL or any competitive surfing

any ‘growth’ in surfing is a negative as far as I’m concerned. Not to mention all the idiots that copy that aggressive style in the water
