Xavi Leaves Barcelona Thread

He has been such a massive figure, not just for Barcelona and Spain, but for world football at large, especially with respect to reaffirming that passing is king. One of my absolute favorites, even though he never kept the ball to himself for more than a few moments. But then again, that was the whole point. He will be missed sorely.

Wish him all the best for his time at Qatari side Al-Sadd and hope he returns to Nou Camp soon in another role.

Shame he's going to Qatar with all the controversy, but such a great player. Second best midfielder i've seen after Zidane.

Also, this is the single greatest pass in the history of football

Haha, really it isn't.

Sure its a great pass, and great spot of the run, its the kind of pass that basically separates him as great over good... But if you've never seen Figo, Zidane, Gerrard, Scholes, Fabregas etc do that then you need to watch some more football.

Being able to make a pass like that is not what made Xavi special.

Real shame he is going to Qatar, just go to the US lad.

Cruyff, Laudrup, Pep, Xavi - Carrying Barcelona's spiritual torch forward since 1974.

A Barcelona all time side would leave out such legends, it is incredible. Laudrup, Iniesta, Romario, Kubala, Pep, and Ronaldinho may find themselves on the bench.

All-time great player and one of the good guys of football. Made Scholes' career with his comments as well. What a guy.

Laudrup... so, stupidly, underrated.

Xavi hasn't been the first choice this season for many games but whenever he came on, the team started playing much better. Will be odd watching FCB without Xavi. He has been there for so long.
