Solid jinx there.

Pretty shattered by this news, but at the same time, my prediction all along that JMDP will be primed and ready to win his next Slam at the US may have just gotten more possible now that Rafa is out. Draw could be open if he's lucky and is on the right side.

Yes there is, because it prevents having to face one of them in the quarters if you're on the side with only one of the top 3 seeds. Obviously to win a Slam you have to beat the best players, but its better to come up against as few of these players as possible. He "only" has to beat two of Murray, Fed or Nole in a row instead of three of them if he's on the right side of the draw.

Reckon Delpo is a sneaky chance against Novak tonight.

Novak has played a lot of tennis lately.

Didn't matter, both won, and easily.

Should be a good final. Novak surely has a point to prove after Fed bashed him up at Wimbledon.

Amazing from Fed.

Did anyone see the first set? Had to go to bed but record it. Sounds ridiculous.

Good on Fed, surely favourite for the US Open now. Number 1 seed, has made Novak his bitch lately, and even with the gold medal loss to Murray, he'd still go in favourite in a GS semi or final against him.

Will be tough to beat.
