Back to the real tennis tonight and not the exhibition stuff. I'm so excited to see Tommy in this stage of a slam again. Fourth time lucky in a grand slam final hey

Would love to know how many matches she's won in her career saving match points. Does it so often.
One of the best women's matches ever, they're saying. Only saw snippets.

Suffie to say WD to both girls, esp Dementieva on her "Russian woman doesn't implode when it counts" shocker. At least Safina stayed true to form. Maybe if she smiled her demeanour and attitude might improve. That was utter rubbish.

Should be awesome, but will be hard to top their match last year. That match was the perfect example of more sets doesn't always equal a better quality match. Was a terrific match.

Sampras vs. Agassi US Open 2001 another example.

Got the afternoon free so I can veg infront of the tv and watch both matches..

...really want Haas to win-know he wont of course, but it would be nice...not that I have anything agianst Federer tho...probably the underdog thing...who knows....

..and not too fussed on the other game...probably end up shouting for Murray...maybe!

Yeah, Dementieva didn't choke. She tightened up a bit at times, but Serena just willed herself to win.

I was just saying that, at least in the last 6 months, I can count 3 matches that Serena has ended up winning despite being match point down. Stosur, Wozniacki and now Dementieva in 2009 from what I can recall.

there was also one against peer at the australian right? not in '09 though...she is a bit like tiger woods in that regard, you can never count her out and she never fails to let her opponent know it...

They'll go to the tennis in about 45 minutes. Should be some stage into the second set of Haas vs Federer by then. They better show it live from there.
