Vintage Fed here in that breaker. 4 aces FFS. And now a break in the 3rd. Looks all but over.

What's the background of the Rafa - Soderling feud out of interest?
Think last year Rafa called him the least liked player on tour after a few antics by Soderling.

Fed has been playing great, inface a lot better than the second set score suggested.

Great Serve, Drop shots, forehands, backhands, even one volley ..basically eveything that you wanna watch.
Yeah have been watching, very happy here.

Cheers guys. Explains the cursory handshake then.

Roge mailing in this service game as he mulls over his speech in his mind....

Btw, never thought I'd see the day when Simon would defend Söderling.
LOL. Not that I dislike him, just dont think hes really that great. But there have been far worse grand slam finalists (Schuttler, Clement, Verkerk) in the last 10 years.

Bit harsh, hes beaten some class players with good tennis this week. He's being schooled by the greatest of all time. No shame.
Haha, not taking anything from him. He certainly deserves credit for what he has done so far. I wish he moved little more when he was serving. In the second set on his serve he was often seen giving up the advantage. He is moving much better in the 3rd set, unfortunately already down.1 break point, hence I don't see him winning the set from here. It is just a formality now.

Hope Federer gets the chance to celebrate his achievement on court and not have an ending like the womens final yesterday.

Pretty sure hes just satisfied to have made the final really. In the age of 32 seeds any player making it this far when they are in the 17-32 region is a good effort.

Pre-Fed/Rafa there were some gun clay court specialists, now just guys that lose to he or Nadal 99% of the time:sleep:

One more game now for the great man...

ATP should introduce a "no more than two fist pumps per player per game" rule.

I understand it's something they do to motivate themselves, but when you're 2 sets and a break down, it smacks of douchebaggery

Sod holds. Over to you Mr Federer.
