Kerber is looking interesting for the women, last tournament win before today, Wimbledon 2018, last final Eastbourne 2019, does seem to have bizarrely become a grass court specialist, and Penko has been fun in Eastbourne, always box office in a Super-brat way.

i watched bits of the final against Siniaková, which didn't change my mind about the latter being a headcae.

if it does end up being R3 Kerber v Serena, which the draw says, then I'm loading up on the 38yo

Obviously Serena gets a messy quarter after I bet her. ?

Logic was " she is the only girl I'd be confident of making it to week " All on the Italian stallion bandwagon it is. ( Not Seppi NEVER Seppi).

The UK weather continues unabated. No play yet on the outside courts. At least play is guaranteed on the two main courts, unless the roof leaks.

Don't expect Draper to beat Novak, but their is definitely something their for people to get excited over.

Murray put us through it. Was great to see him win. had it on laptop and football on tv. Clearly not the player he was but hope he can smuggle his way through a few more rounds.

eternal optimist, aren't you?
Never expected him to win but he looks ok. Maybe a top 32 player in future.

Its only 1 match down for Novak!

Looking at the betting for his quarter and yeah its tough to see how he slips up. Rublev 2nd fav and noted grass court big hitter Diego 3rd fav while Fucsovic and Monfils joint 4th favs.

Probably plays Shapo/De Minaur/Agut/Murray/Tiafoe/Khach'/Evans' in a semi final. Its not the worst draw for Novak to say the least.

He was pretty good until the rather odd collapse in the third set.

He has a very soft quarter with Tsitsipas gone but obviously asking for a lot to get to the last 16 .

I get his annoyance about been asked about retirement, he's probably not going to win any more slams but if he can compete at a decent level and is healthy why retire now? His opponent today while not exactly Djokovic is number 28 in the world and got to the Halle semi final where he was unlucky to lose to Rublev.

Would imagine he may team up with his brother for doubles, could win a slam or two at that and play Davis Cup too. Become a doubles player more than singles to end his career.

Manny is handy on grass, but needing him to injure himself to get through isn't the most promising of signs for Federer .

For Murray to be winning four hour five setters at 34 with a metal hip says a lot about him, but also a lot about the tour standards.
Iga through to round three.

Otte isn't the best but to be fair you never got the elite players at such an early stage.

It should be goodnight vienna against Shapo sadly.

Coco v Siniakova tomorrow should be fun.
