Can't see us getting above bottom four again this year tbh. I've heard good things abotu Brad Arthur, but he has very little cattle to work with, the recruitment of Hopoate notwithstanding. I think the best he could hope for is he gets the defensive structures right and the players really want to play for him.

Will also be interesitng to see where he starts Hayne. He's indicated he really enjoyed his time int he centres during hte WC and tbh he played brilliantly there. Of course, he'll have Sandow and Kelly passing on the ground to him instead of Cronk and Thurston hitting his chest as he runs into a hole, so I don't know if there's much future there.

Hoppa/Hayne would probably be the strongest center combo in the game if they play to their potential. Lyon/Matai possibly shading them.

You've long since given up on Willie right?

Edit: Now I think about it, not really sure Center is where Parra really need strengthening. Morgan was pretty good last year, and surely Willie will do as depth.

Oh god yeah. Bloke is an embarrassment. the only solution is they let him play in a pair of Qld Origin shorts. Then he might have a go.

The other interest for our supporters this year is to see how the Pommie forward stacks up.

When Corey Norman doesn't decide to go himself, he provides decent ball. I honestly quite like Parra's backline options this season.

Sure, but it's not easy trying to do it inside your own 20. If they're going anywhere, their hooker will need to be their best signing IMO.

If they play Hayne and Hopoate in the centres, they'll need to move Loko to the back row for the 1.5 games he plays before injuring himself for the season.

I wouldn't expect too much too soon. Sort of bloke who could go into a bear pit and hold his own. But you'll need to teach him how to actually, you know, play.

Speaking of poms, have the Cowboys given Scott Moore the boot and sorted themselves with a proper hooker yet? **** me that was a bad signing. Has absolutely no right being down there. Was struggling to find a club up here.

They signed another hooker yeah. St George bloke named Cameron King.

It would be absolutely madness to play the two best fullbacks at the club both in the centres. Loko in the second row, running down the left side is a good option though, I hope he does get in a full year. I actually think that neither Hayne or Hopa will play in the centres until Will finds his feet I think he plays wing.

Moore is still with the club but well down the pecking order. Ray Thompson filled in at 9 last year and performed well and they have now signed ex-Dragon Cameron King who is a pretty exciting specialist 9 so I would be surprised if Moore makes it out of the QLD Cup this year.

EDIT - Oh ****, that will teach me for getting distracted mid-reply, Morgie is correct.
