    The rule doesn't really bother me but it rewards the person who picks late and bothers to see who everyone else tipped.

    Saturday 17th August

    Liverpool v Stoke
    Arsenal v Aston Villa DRAW
    Norwich v Everton
    Sunderland v Fulham
    West Brom v Southampton
    West Ham v Cardiff DRAW
    Swansea v Manchester United

    Sunday 18th August

    Crystal Palace v Tottenham
    Chelsea v Hull

    Monday 19th August

    Manchester City v Newcastle

    Wednesday 21st August

    Chelsea v Aston Villa
    NRL Tipping Champion 2014

    Over 0.2: Putland to Nevill, OUT, no run, full ball swings in late to crash into his pads. Nevill is almost falling over trying to get bat on it but can't. Huge shout for LBW and Umpire Martell eventually raises the finger! P.Nevill - lbw b:Putland 0 (1 ball, 1 minute).

    Think the rule change is a good 'un myself - the slight problem with this is that if you get a bad start its difficult to climb back up the table - I know its a marathon and not a sprint but imo anything that increases the chance of making up ground is a positive

    Well yes and no. There's a chance for bonus points for late tippers but it would involve tipping Hull and Aston Villa to go to Stamford Bridge and win.

    Oh and I knew that:
    A - Furball would change the no tipping rule
    B - he would quote that post of Brumby's when replying to Marcuss

    15 of us start the competition, which is a good start. And a generally good week for us as well, with 9 of us managing 7 or better.

    As Corrin started late and missed the weekend's games, he gets the lowest mark (grecian's 3), minus 1 to give him 2 points from those games. He then has the dubious honour of sharing the worst miss of the week, as he missed Chelsea beating Villa. Other inaugral winners of this award are cpr for failing to tip Liverpool to beat Stoke and Grecian failing to tip Spurs beating Crystal Palace.

    Meanwhile, the best tip of the week is Brumby tipping Fulham to beat Sunderland, which gives him the first bonus point of the new system as he was the only one to do so. This bonus point is also enough to separate Brumby from the rest of the field and grab the weekly bonus as well.

    Code:
    1.   Boy Brumby      9.01
    2=.  Uppercut        8
    2=.  Pothas          8
    2=.  Marcuss         8
    2=.  marc71178       8
    6=.  Cabinet96       7
    6=.  The Sean        7
    6=.  Tom Halsey      7
    6=.  GingerFurball   7
    10=. cpr             6
    10=. Days of Grace   6
    12=. fredfertang     5
    12=. NUFAN           5

    Reckon I was a last minute penalty save away from tip of the week TBH.
