Did a few hour shift in the pub, finished at HT, decided not to stay as I just knew there'd be no more goals in it.....

I'm definitely becoming more of a curmudgeon in my old age - been plenty of talk this evening about feeling sorry for Reading. Personally I can't bring myself to feel any sympathy whatsoever for a team who go 4-0 up and lose. At home.

I will feel sorry for the fans though - Fertang must be on suicide watch about now.

LOL Arsenal. Just finished watching the highlights, crazy.

I've played a game when a player has been booked just for swearing after losing the ball. It's ridiculous the kinda language you see players using to the referees sometimes.

7-5? Haven't seen the memo which decreed that football turn into ice hockey?

Never seen a game like it. Amazing stuff, although our backup defence aren't much to be pleased about. One of those games where you know why you love and hate this Arsenal team.

Chelsea's extra class on the pitch telling in the end. A shame, particularly as we've gifted it to them with a couple of shocking defensive errors from one of our youngsters. Still, has been a hell of an effort by United's 2nd/3rd string against a Chelsea side not far from their strongest available.

    Yeah 5-4, poor effort.

That pass for the Chelsea bloody magnificent though, and Oscar is going to be ridiculously good.

Cahill and Luiz still look fairly useless though.

Yeah, that Mata-Oscar-Hazard trio is hella sexy. Wasn't sure they'd all work together but fair to say they're doing a decent job so far.

I'd say they're a bit more than decent. Their interplay and creativity means they can make goals in all almost any attack. Even though they may not have a lot of width at times they still manage to find space in dangerous areas. It's surprising how well they've gelled. I thought both Oscar and Hazard would take time to settle. Oscar is still not as good as he could be IMO but Hazard has been fantastic. It's made Mata's job much easier too.

Yeah, was being deliberately understated. Poorly, it seems.

Yeah it's a good job that most of the rest of the side is fairly ****.

I was reading elsewhere that - in Mata, Hazard & Oscar - Chelsea apparently have "three number 10's". Whilst I sort of understand where this is coming from, I do think that the English press' current obsession with 'number 10s' says rather a lot about our approach to midfielders, and why we're massively left behind by the likes of Spain, Germany and Italy. Surely having more than one creative midfielder should be the norm rather than the exception imo. Certainly having more than one with a skill-set light years ahead of Gareth Barry, anyway.
