It's weird how the English media hate yellow cards. Leaving defenders free to cynically hack the opposition again later is a virtue, for some reason.

United need Welbeck on the pitch to stand a chance.

Shelvey gone. Fair enough decision, sometimes you get away with them but it's such a stupid tackle to make, dire technique.

Looked so much worse in real time as well. Looked more like a 50:50 in the replay.

Do red cards ever actually "ruin games as a spectacle"? I always thought they made them better, always adds another level of intrigue. Maybe not if they're for the losing team, but surely it improves them at least as often as it ruins them.
