It will be interesting to see what sort of owners they are; now that they will have a manager that is not untouchable, I donít expect them to do anything ridiculous though. They should quite clearly be in contention for winning the league at the very least though.

I think that's right actually, there is something very anti-climactic about it which definitely doesn't help. I don't think the teams who go out of the Champions League in the group stages should be allowed in either.

Yeah that has always been a nonsense.

Europa League has actually been a very good standard in recent years but still, nothing in comparison to the CL. Would be pretty distraught if Arsenal don't finish top 4.
Literally have no idea exactly how I'd react but it would not be good.
05/06 was a pretty big deal for me (first season I can remember where we didn't finish in the top 2) so to drop out of the CL altogether is unthinkable.

Not quite as simple as just finishing fourth though

I can't hate a club when their manager used to play for us. Wonder how long it takes till it is mentioned he scored twice in a win at Maine Road for Shrewsbury?

Haha, I remember absolutely bricking it at that moment. Such a huge save. One wonders how things might have turned out had he not made it.

Rooney has asked to leave United apparently.

    Bayern Munich apparently.

    Can't see it though.

In other news, Cevno, why are you banned from Red Cafe?

    Can't see he'll be short of offers, he's easily a 20 goal-a-season striker up-front, and he's versatile too.

First big test of the new regime, can they keep him if they want too, and will they avoid selling him to a rival in England, something Fergie never did, or not often.

Rooney to Chelsea is the hot rumour doing the rounds this morning. Make of that what you will.

Told one of the moderators to **** off in as many words, and he banned me for a month. Due to the heavy traffic that's the way that place has always worked. Are you a member there?
