He's not the best in this regard, but Mourinho is completely short term.
Can you really see Mourinho sticking with Welbeck while he is scoring 1 goal a season ? He'll probably want to buy a replacement for his 3 year cycle. Evans had 2 years where he was bullied a bit. Fletcher was only decent till he became very good.
Plus with Mourinho, though he seems a good guy it's all about him. And he falls out at almost every club and leaves the team with no long term planning.
I won't mind Mourinho tbh, but i can see where the club are coming from in this regard.

In shock tbh.

At least it'll probably be goodbye to posers like Valencia, Nani and Anderson.
As long as they keep Cleverley, I'll be happy.
marc71178 - President and founding member of AAAS - we don't only appreciate when he does well, but also when he's not quite so good!

Beware the evils of Kit-Kats - they're immoral apparently.
This will be weird. He's been manager for my entire lifetime. The idea of us without Ferguson just seems wrong.
Don't want Moyes at all, pretty worried about this.

Looks like they've gone with Moyes. Balls. Beginning of the end of United's era of dominance I reckon.
Don't think it's quite that bad. Too much stuff is different in this case from how it was when Liverpool's era of dominance ended.
Not a fan of the appointment at all, that said.
Wasn't my first preference, but don't mind Moyes.
He won't have to make any changes to the management structure too plus Sir Alex rates him highly.
It struck me that none of the ex-Fergie players who have previously been mentioned as replacements are remotely in the frame nowadays - Keane, Hughes & Robson to name but three.
Kudos to Ferguson, anyway. We won't see his like again.
I can't believe "Mourinho or Moyes" is an actual debate. And they've gone with Moyes. You'd think "has vast experience of winning trophies" would be more important than "has similar accent".
