Also Fergie's sore-loserness is so so hilarious to listen to. Man up and accept you were outplayed.

****, I hope we get Johnson.
As long as he doesn't end up at Sunderland - he'll have even less of a chance of getting his rightful starting position in the England XI. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up top scorer if he went to Liverpool.

Yes Scaly, we've established that Johnson is from your neck of the woods and thus is England's Pele.

No he's just a hell of a lot classier than Milner, Walcott, Downing, Young and whoever else gets randomly picked out wide.

 best team in Merseyside?

Doubt he'll get more than Suarez, but could be second.

, I agree with Scaly on Johnson though - one of the (very) few things. A player Liverpool/England sorely lack: unpredictable, technically brilliant and a winger capable of chipping in with goals.

BARNES OUT
Having watched Adam Johnson more than all of you in the last two and a half years, I can tell you he's definitely not technically brilliant.

He's pacy, and agressive, but wasteful.
He cannot cross (or even pass well).
He has a menacing and surprisingly accurate shot from both feet.
He doesn't work hard enough on defence, which isn't that much of a problem depending on your formation. For us, this is his biggest problem, and why he doesn't start games. For City he has at least 4 players AHEAD of him, which means he HAS to track back and defend stoically, which he never does.

He would be a good addition for Liverpool in terms of bringing pace and dynamism, but if Rodgers expects him to slot into a passing and possession based system well he's going to be very frustrated, not only by his poor passing and delivery, but by his amazing ability to turn the ball over 75% of the times he touches it.

Has an overly affectionate relationship with the piss and is a big fan of Adam Johnson is the gossip. The whole "refusing to get on the coach because his manager had dissed him" was sore-arse syndrome at its worst.

Thought Rodgers had earmarked Joe Cole down for the crucial "technically accomplished luxary player with **** all end product" role this season anyway.

Tranny Rovers won't be top after they taste defeat at fortress Meadow on Saturday. Season up and running now after the win last night. CUIYC

Well **** me backwards - we concede an early goal to the chavs but recover to take the lead - is the impossible going to happen?

What a jammy win for Chelsea. Very flattering scoreline - they didn't look like scoring until the goalkeeping error and then of course there was the offside goal.

He came on at the weekend and broke down after 5 minutes.

He is from the Boro who Scaly likes but doesn't support (?). Scaly use to rate very highly Downing. Pretty much all he is saying about Johnson now is what he said about Downing all those years back.

That story about Citeh bidding 30 million for sideshow, and Chelsea turning it down, has to be a joke right?

I never rated Downing very highly, he was pretty much England's only realistic left sided midfield option. All the others were players who were allergic to using their left foot playing in a position they couldn't play - and indeed the likes of Joe Cole and Gerrard used to happily completely **** up the whole formation so they could see the ball a bit more often.
