To be honest I'm really on Hazard's side here. Who has seventeen year old ballboys? Some players are younger than that.

Little arsewipe milked it for all it was worth too; the sport's clearly getting the ball retrievers it deserves.

"I don't believe a word of Pietersen's book, but then I don't believe a word anyone else has said either."
    - Simon Barnes renders further comment on KP's autobiography superfluous in a sentence

Yes I'm finding quite funny that the little **** is getting slaughtered for acting like a footballer - by those who are connected with the game.

The little **** deserves a kicking, he could make a small fortune and get a lot of fame out of the incident - for essentially acting like a footballer. Kind of appropriate really.

Yeah, I have no sympathy at all for the over-sized runt. The faux agony really was quite nauseating, and I almost expected him to start brandishing an imaginary red card at the ref.

Shame, because I like Swansea, but his public boasting on twitter doesn't reflect well on the club.

So kicking minors is fine if they've done something that irritates you?

The kid was a ****, but you don't kick 'em, if I was to do that to every adolescent that pisses me off, my bunions would really be playing up.

Wouldn't care if the punishment was to stay at the suspension for the sending off though. Obviously the entire subject is getting done to death now, so I just want it to go away.

I'll have to think about that one .....

No, obz not. Hazard will rightly be punished for this and no-one's saying otherwise. Even if there is some question over his intent in the matter. But it's still true that the 'victim' is coming out of this with no credit whatsoever. I think that all we're saying, anyway.

    What grecian said, really.

People are saying otherwise though, which is why I asked it so plainly.

Agreed that the ball boy was a tosspot too, ftr.

Would it have been fine to kick him if he was 18?

    Morally it's fine either way.

The whole media circus blaming the little **** is hilarious mind. If it was a player who was time-wasting in the same manner and got kicked they wouldn't be ripping into the time-waster nearly as much.

It would be a straight-forward 3 match ban if it was a footballer, it obviously has to be more severe as it's a little **** doing ball boy duties. On the count that it's a ball boy. And it's a little ****.

But a footballer is a participant and there's recourse for time wasting as a footballer (yellow card, sanctions, public image issues etc). A ball boy influencing proceedings falls outside of how sport should be decided, particularly when it's some smarmy teenager who should know better. I actually think a ball boy trying to influence the game is a bigger issue than a little jab in the ribs with the shin.

Anyway like I said, I got the impression he was trying to kick the ball and misqued.

This is the best angle imo. If he kicked the kid, then the ball wouldn't pop out like that.

Love 'keepers taking pens, should happen more often, especially when they're as good as that.
