Because it's not as bad a team as made out. Strikers are brilliant but could still do better. Wingers have been largely mediocre with Valencia being awful but Giggs being a revelation back out on the wing lately. Carrick, Cleverley and Anderson have all been good in CM but Scholes should retire and Giggs shouldn't play there again unless it's an emergency and Fletcher? Well... Rafael' solidified the RB spot as his, Evra's found some form again and Evans has continued the good work from last season.

We don't play well for all the game but there's enough quality there that when we dominate the game we score and it's enough to get the 3 points.
A simple "most of the clubs at the top of the Premier League are crap" would have done.

If that's a penalty, it's another reason why football has gone to hell.

Justice done for my money.
Yea. Andy ****wit Townsend showing what a complete ****wit he is by rambling on about how it was a legit decision.

Welbeck apparently forgot he has another foot he can kick with.

tbf they've recovered well after the village idiot stuff from the centre backs at the start of the 2nd half. Wonderful finish from Lampard. And it was a clear cut penalty when Luiz pulled Cahill over the place at a corner a while back.

Worst result possible beating Brazil. Means our press will hype up our chances in the World cup even though we won't get past the quarter finals and the gullible masses will swallow it and say that this team is set for glory. Yeah right.

It'll feed the frenzy and the numpties will lap it up. A creditable draw would have done, as it is we will now be set to conquer the world.

We'll see. I suspect that even the tabloids know enough of our tournament record not to go OTT nowadays. As was the case before the Euros IIRC. Then add Gerrard's comments about how we aren't even certain to qualify, and expectations are lower that was the case a few years back. What does worry me is the OTT reaction to Wilshere's performance, including some comments from guys like Lampard who really should know better having been part of the 'golden generation' and therefore knowing what it's like not to remotely live uip to expectations.

The performance was good in parts, and there was far more flexibility than we'd been led to believe from Hodgson. And it helped massively that guys like Rooney and Gerrard actually lived up to their billing. But truth is that if Ronaldino and Goldilocks had done what they should have done with the penalty and open goal then we'd all be shrugging our shoulders today.

That was because Harry hadn't got the job as they all wanted so the knives were out.
