Kinda surprised their isn't a thread up for this yet. Is that because South Africa didn't make it?

I don't get the attraction of an instrument that I can recreate by pissing off a swarm of bees.

Credit to the players, some of those pens under such pressure were brilliant. The Zambian players looked so small and young and nervous compared to the Ivorians, but they all did the job cooly, especially the one hammered into the top right, absolute stunning pen.

Sepp Blatter didnt exactly look comfortable there....

Also, Herve Renard must be one of the coolest coaches in football, never flinched during the penalties once. Might be one of the ***iest too

Well done Zambia, great achievement. But this tournament on the whole was pretty cack. Watched a bit of the semi-final the other night and there was hardly anyone in the ground ffs. Bit of a tired format and doesn't have the same prestige of other comparable international competitions, needs to have new life breathed into it somehow.

The attendance issues stem from mass poverty and overpricing of tickets. You think tickets are overpriced in England, Jonathan Wilson of the Guardian was saying that tickets to the quarter finals were 3 times the average weekly wage of the locals...

Haha, so we're talking about the equivelant of £1,000 a ticket then?
