Nicely done Vimes. Fair play to Canterbury, tactically superior in a match decided on strong defence. Their strategy for the final 10 minutes was brilliant - literally Waikato did not touch the ball after the 70th minute.

Thought the championship final on Sunday afternoon was a superb match. Highly entertaining encounter which was so much better to watch than the so-called main event the previous evening. Pleased that HB were victorious although a Manawatu victory would've also been fitting after they've enjoyed such a good season, their best since being reintroduced in the NPC/ITM Cup.
