I was gonna do a snarky response to someone earlier but stopped myself, but some of this stuff came back up in the last few years and people were still happy to ignore it. jimmy snuka is the obvious example, but when Tom Cole died a couple of years ago, the ring boys scandal re-surfaced only very briefly. same with ashley massaro. the dark side of the ring ep shined a light on owen hart's death and WWE's negligence, in addition to the despicable decision to keep the show going. rita chatterton accused him of rape in 1992 and a NDA was signed in 2023. the guy was an evil **** for at least 40 years and so is the company and it's that simple. I can't fathom how anyone can actually support it

Why the f*ck does he type like that though? Surreal that an 80 year-old billionaire who in real-world interviews presents a reasonably well-spoken persona reverts to the most juvenile ***ting imaginable. The scat thing is...whatever, but the phrasing of those messages as much as the content itself is what made my jaw drop. It's like he's inhabiting another one of his sick characters, this time an incel hopped up on pornhub.

And tbh the days of him being a relatively well-spoken figure ended way before all this was revealed. He's been basically incoherent for absolutely years now. I genuinely don't really remember the last time he appeared on TV/cut a promo where a significant proportion of what he said wasn't completely incomprehensible.

Probably. He had to come in to deflect eyeballs but it's unintentionally turning into must-follow soap opera that I'm sure the carnies will exploit. The emotion in arenas feels palpable now even through the TV screen. I can only imagine what a tinderbox Wrestlemania in Philly of all places will be.

Looks like D'Amore disagreed with the higher ups about the direction of the company, approached them with an offer to buy the company and it was declined. Will be intrigued what lies in the future for the man. Tony Khan could desperately use someone of that calibre to run ROH for him
