They were massive misses but the equivalent in afl would be a kick from 50 out from the sideline. Big play if they get it, but not extraordinary if they miss it. Maloney certainly was critical of himself.

The other thing is that 9s NRL commentary (Sterlo aside) is absolutely rubbish. Rabs is a relic, Gould seems more interested in riling up Rabs and rambles on about periphery rubbish.

Fmd it was gracious of Glen Stewart in his speech to say "It should have been Archer". Horrific refereeing but the NRL will do **** all.

What is it with the Stewarts and Gallop?

It's like they blame him for the sexual assault charge.

Watched parts of the replay and within 5 minutes of tuning in, a Manly player should've been sin binned at bare minimum but wasnt, Warriors should've had a penalty for an incorrect play the ball but it wasnt given, Manly were gifted a penalty when their player dropped the ball and finally the Sea Eagles scored when they shouldve been down the other end defending with 12 men

Absolute joke

All in all, s/house GF and good advert for the RWC

As opposed to the RWC, which has been a good advertisement for the NRL

Only Parramatta would pay $500 000 for a winger, who is not a representative regualar, and who won't have played for two years.

Could be a masterstroke. Firstly, I think they'll play him at centre where he was awesome for NSW. That's Inglis/Jennings money, but not unheard of for the position. Secondly the new TV rights deal could result in a significant increase in the salary cap, making that perhaps a reasonable amount of money for a quality centre in 2014. Last but not least the kid is an absolute gun.

Obviously the risk is that after two years away from the game he will be unfit and have lost his touch never to get it back again, but the potential is there for it to be a brilliant move.

In all likelihood they've been dining out on football prowess and not been made responsible for anything since they were in their early teens...anything that happens must be somebody else's fault. As football stars it couldn't possibly be theirs.

I like Gallop's droning style off speech though. In situations like the one with the Stewarts it gives the impression he doesn't give a ****.
