Badly, They started ok with 12k at their first game then have just gone down hill to the extent of having 4k at their last home game, A lot of hate within the victory fans for them. Canberra and Tasmania's bid should have been taken in before a second Melbourne team for sure.

 Super Kev.

Was a really poor decision, they aimed to get those from the outer suburbs who are NSL fanatics who hate the Victory because their team didn't get the license South Melbourne Green Gully etc but its just stupid, they don't like Heart for the exact same reason. They have got a few of the occasional Victory fans but they will fade away heavily soon if they dont start having some success.

That being said be interesting to see what happens once AFL finishes up down here they might attract a few more fans then, I know our crowds improve a fair bit once the AFL season is over.
If we're being honest though, the Heart is a MUCH more viable franchise than the Fury (imo anyway). At least it has some sort of hope of attaining a reasonable fanbase.

There is better potential but doesnt always mean it will end up better, Think the majority of Heart fans will be bandwagoners who are really hot and cold which will see them do well if they are winning but as it as at the moment they will struggle unless they pick up. However the Tasmania/Canberra bid is much much better IMO.

Huge lols at Rovers failing to find capital now after Canberra had foundations memberships all set up and government grants.

FFA need to pull their finger out and create an independent board to manage the game.

Need to have someone to face the media as well, Like all other major codes. Where the **** is Ben Buckly? Needs to be sorted out.

Buckley does some weird stuff, as a Sports Administrator his public speaking isn't that bad, but his decisions are mind-boggling at times.

I was really disappointed to hear about Rovers financial troubles. I'm planning on going all fanatical about them when they enter.

That said I still think the league needs a western Sydney team more than it needs a Canberra team. Soccer is the second biggest ball sport in WS, and has a huge population base that is growing quickly. Lots of new migrants who will follow a soccer team before they follow a league team too. Canberra has it's merits but it still only has less than 1/5th of the population of WS, and Hobart has even less than that. Long term WS is more viable.

Watching Adelaide play the Heart ATM. How good is this Flores bloke? Haven't seen a player this silky play in the A League. Totally valid judgement based on 75 minutes of football too.

Love Skoko too. Always was underrated for mine.

Caught a bit of the Phoenix match against Newcastle last night - was 1-0 to Newcastle but could easily have been a larger margin. Its a real shame to see the Phoenix struggle so badly (both on and off the field) over the last few weeks; they had such a great last season and an unreal home record, but the way they're playing as of late is very disheartening.

Insane rainfall at the GC United match last night. Just the game where they opened it up for free and had a decent crowd too. Bad luck for them.
