Association Football
Arsenal v Tottenham- Used to go down and watch them play pretty regularly. Dinner with the players a few times and always on the field replacing divots at half time. I have a small soft spot for Spurs. Arsenal on the other hand are loathsome.

Will stick to the original list as Brumby provided, despite the criminal lack of Villa vs Birmingham.. Good thread though, this one.
Association Football
Arsenal vs Tottenham- Arsenal because all of my Mother's side of the family are Arsenal fans and because I find Spurs rather annoying.
Liverpool vs Everton- Everton, because they're not Liverpool.
Manchester United vs Manchester City- Hmmm, tricky one this. I think I'm leaning towards United because of the vile and cynical way in which City are attempting to buy my club (Villa)'s best player each off-season (like they haven't got five central midfielders already, FFS). Both pretty awful though.
Liverpool vs Manchester United- Cancer or AIDS?
Rangers vs Celtic- Celtic, because O'Neill is a legend and because they have better fans than Rangers (less violence). Don't care for the religious element of the rivalry at all though.
Barcelona vs Real Madrid- Barcelona, like Uppercut because of the non-fascistic history. Additionally because royal tosspot Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't play for them.
AC Milan vs Internazionale- Internazionale, because I've always liked their kit, and because they aren't owned by Silvio Berlesconi.
England vs Argentina- England, because I'm English. Although, to be honest, I've never really held much interest in international football.
Rugby Union[/I]
New Zealand vs Australia- Hold little interest. New Zealand I guess.
New Zealand vs South Africa- Again, New Zealand. South Africa's rugby team strike me as a nasty bunch.
England vs France- England, obviously.
Leinster vs Munster- No real preference on this one.
Cricket
England vs Australia- Surprisingly, I think I might just be supporting England on this one.
Pakistan vs India- Would probably support Pakistan. Hate the BCCI for everything they stand for and, despite it all, I love the unpredictability of Pakistan cricket. Sehwag's awesomeness almost drags it towards India though.
Yorkshire vs Lancashire- Yorkshire, they have the more interesting history for mine, so many great characters have played for them over the years. Obviously that can be said for Lancashire too but not quite as much, I reckon.
New South Wales vs Victoria- No preference really. Should say New South Wales if only because Katich plays for them, but this is balanced out by the fact that Michael Clarke also does.
I'm not going to offer my opinion on the Rugby League and Aussie Rules ones simplay because I lack interest and knowledge in those sports.
My Supporting XI: V Sehwag, T Iqbal, S Katich (c), K Sangakkara, S Chanderpaul, E Morgan, S Al Hasan, M Rahim (+), G Swann, D Steyn, Z Khan
Association Football
Man Utd v Man City - Gotta support the boss and SAF is such a whinging ****
Anyone v Real Madrid - Christiano Louganis 'nuff said
Rugby Union
The All Blacks v The Wallabies - I dont mind the ABs as they generally play the most attractive football but they are Kiwis
Anyone v The Springboks - cheap shot merchants
Rugby League
NSW v QLD - Queenslander
Aussie Rules
Anyone v Collingwood - the world's most biased and feral supporters
Cricket
England v Australia - our rejects need to be reminded of their place
Golf
Tiger Woods v Phil Mickelson - the nice guy act is not all that it appears
Association Football
Arsenal v Tottenham - preferred them in the days before the Prem, Gazza, Linekar, Thorstvedt...... OK, clutching at straws there, but have no problem with spurs.
Liverpool v Everton - Granddad was a fan from when he first came to England, was his English club (behind Celtic), so that'll do me
Man Utd v Man City - hahahahaha
Liverpool v Man Utd - obvious reasons, don't actually have too much beef with Liverpool, so long as they don't beat us
Rangers v Celtic - Irish Catholic family n all that, also the Scottish part of my family are huge Celtic fans
Barcelona v Real Madrid - Good friend from school, his family was from Madrid so was a Real fan, also Barca kept on beating us at that time ('94).... Though we had beat them when it counted in 91
AC Milan v Internazionale - My first 'foreign' club, after utd drew 1-1 in a pre season friendly with them in 90/91 (one of the two). Plus, have an absolute awesome set of fans, who made us feel welcome when we played there (a few weeks after the Romans had decided to try and kill everyone.....)
England v Argentina..... Next!
Rugby Union
The All Blacks v The Wallabies
The All Blacks v The Springboks
Just like em.... even if they do bottle it at World Cups
England v France.... Stupid question, I'm not from Rotherham
Rugby League
Wigan v St Helens - Neither, Salford Reds all the way
Cricket
England v Australia - yeah....
Pakistan v India - Good old Wasim Akram to thank for that.....
France v Lancashire... Atherton, Fairbrother, Hegg, Martin, Austin, Akram, Chapple..... he who cannot love a squad like that cannot love sport....

RIP Craigos. A true CW legend. You will be missed.
Association Football
Newcastle v Sunderland - Sunderland. The sight of the tubby, blubbing Geordie fan in his replica kit has been a delicious staple of MotD for years now. Never gets old.
Aston Villa v Birmingham - Villa, actually. Brum fans rather unpleasant in my experience.
Chelsea v T*ttenham - Chavs. Unless a Chav defeat would somehow benefit the Arse.
Leeds Utd v Man Utd - Eeeuw. Dirty Leeds and a shower.
Millwall v West Ham - Irons. The academy & 66 an all that, isn't it?
England v Germany - England, obv.
England v Scotland - England, obv.
Germany v Holland - The Dutch; even if Jerry wasn't a rival of ours Big Den was a clog wearer and that'd be enough. Although the reputation for total football has taken a bit of a hammering after the WC final.
Spain v Portugal - Pfft. Spain, probs. Beat us less on pens.
Brazil v Argentina - Brasil. Not Argentina and that.
Rugby Union
England v Wales - England, obv
England v Scotland - England, obv
Leicester v Bath - Tigers. Mate's a massive fan and one can only go to so many games without starting to root for them a little.
Cricket
Australia v India - Toughie, tbh. Depends on my mood.
New Zealand v Australia Black Caps everyday.
Surrey v Middlesex - Middlesex, really. Surrey did have a spell of winning everything, but they are the county of Thorpe and Jardine, so have slight soft spot for them.
Golf
Ryder Cup: Europe v USA - Yurp, obv. Although faintly embarrassing GB & Ire were so gash we had to rope in the continent to help us out.
Tennis
Bjorn Borg v John McEnroe - Superbrat. Was childhood hero with his paddies whilst Borg was curiously bloodless.
Pete Sampras v Andre Agassi - Pistol Pete. Never sported a mullet
Roger Federer v Rafa Nadal - Our Rog still. Has been a bit cockish since his domination has ended tho, but.

Carlton vs Collingwood - hope there's a massive fire, and I've locked the exit gates.
