Does it not make you cry Jono?you know the years of hurt?
Probably trolling but will answer seriously. Haven't shed a tear over the tigers since a kid as you definitely become steeled to the disappointment when you experience it over and over. Followed Richmond since I was 8-9 years old, well and truly used to it. Been to games where we had to win the last round of footy to make the 8 and have lost. So losses like last night are part and parcel.

I must say though this year has been extreme in having close losses and throwing away leads in the last quarter. That tests the tear ductors.

Went last night, spent most of the time at the bar. Dusty Martin's effort for the smother was awesome, can't believe they lost it after that.

Ran 100+m with a tight hamstring. Add that plus Morris' effort in the 3rd quarter and you really should be inspired enough to win a game of football.

Round Eighteen Tipping Update

"Summertime and the tippin' is easy..."

Hey, it's summer up here, ****s. Embrace your cultural cringe.

Peasy week on the tipping front again, with even Spiké Mourinho managing 6/9. Morgie and myself manage maximums for good measure.

No tips from Vimes, so round's lowest, yadda, yadda...

On Norway tho, usually in other tipping comps I run a fourth week with no tips means the plug gets pulled, so unless anyone violently objects (or Vimes tips) he's gone next week.

Weekly

Brumby 9
morgie 9
Jono 8
HDS 8
skd 7
Benchy 7
howard 7
altoz 7
Johnners 7
Spikey 6

Vimes 6

Weekly .01s to morgie and me then.

Howard maintains his seven point advantage, but their 8 & 9 respectively means Jono and morgie join tozz on 113 correct calls, with just weekly bonuses separating them.

Dav's southern slide continues as he slips to sixth now.

Overall

1) howard 120.10
2) altoz 113.07
3) Jono 113.06
4) morgie 113.05
5) Brumby 112.05
6) skd 111.07
7) Benchy 108.03
8) HDS 108.02
9) Vimes 97.05
10) Johnners 96.01
11) Spikey 89.04

the only thing more surprising than seeing maxwell get that score is seeing that it's actually a well built team, and not just 9 collingwood players

Ladder Predictor -

At the end of the home and away, I have four teams finishing on top on 68 points (Hawks, Swans, Pies, Crows), followed by West Coast (64), Geelong and North (56), with Carlton rounding out the eight (52).

Bombers and Dockers (48) to miss

In the mean time:

Is Dean "The Weapon" Robinson the most overhyped thing in AFL this year?

Surely this guy should stop calling himself the Weapon and learn how to actually train a team so they don't ping their hamstring when they run for 10 metres at top speed?

Carlton beat Collingwood twice.

Dean Robinson had 25 soft tissue injuries.

Sticking with "The Weapon" here.

Carlton were premiership favourites after R3 and probably won't make the finals. No-one outside of essendon talked about the weapon until we get a string of Sat night games on seven and Taylor lost his ****ing load. Sticking with Carlton

25 an inflated number in any case. Winderlich, Dempsey and Prismall would add to that number. They're coming back from ACL's, it's to be expected. Hille, McVeigh and Feltcher would add to it, they're old men, it's to be expected. Myers and Anthony Long have a long of history of hamstring troubles, a couple of others too. Obviously it's too many, but the reality is, we have long had issues with soft tissue injures. Some Essendon fans like to blame it on the Dome, others have taken to the weapon, others point out Windy Hill is the common denominator. W/ever, this isn't anything new. It sucks, and it's wrecking our season, but it's just business as usual. And besides which, they fixed Gumby.
