Collingwood did the opposite of what they did last year. Peaked at the wrong time.

They played some pretty ordinary football in the last month or so.

Didn't get to see the game yesterday ftr. Cliffs?

Pleased for Geelong. Only the impression one garners offa ver interwebz, but it seemed as if the whole world and his arse was writing off their chances at the start of the season on the grounds they were ageing and had lost both their star player and a dual Prem winning coach.

No sign of vic yet, one notes. Imagine he's nursing one.

As expected the post GF revisionism is in full swing.

Malthouse tensions cost the pies who won 22/25 games. Yeah right! The Cats just peaked at the right time.

Let's not surrender to the modern trend of whatever is happening now has to be the best - by declaring Geelong as the greatest team of the modern era. Not to take anything away from them, but when you haven't even won back-to-back premierships, how can you be better than a team that won three in a row and made four GFs in as many years? Granted, the Cats have been more dominant in the regular season over the past four years, but when you match the teams up in the areas that really count (either man-for-man, or premiership-for-premiership) Brisbane are superior.

Brisbane had to travel more which impacts on ability to get as many minor round wins.
