Whilst some might argue that this is more a rich man's plaything than a sport, it's interesting (for we residents of the UAE at least) that the Americas Cup is coming to our shores.

Whilst great for this part of the world, the announcement has seen more whinging and threats of legal action from the American challenger than usual (if that's possible!)

Ras al-Khaimah

Some of the arguments made by Russell Coutts are truly ludicrous, particularly in light of the fact that New York (the traditional home of the Cup) was recently named as the 10th most susceptible to terrorist attacks in the world

Anyway, hopefully it will eventuate as RAK is a beautiful place with great waters for sailing (plus there is a black-market booze joint just down the road)
