England is progressively naming a training squad as teams are eliminated from the Super League play-offs. The final 24-man squad for the Four Nations will be announced on Monday October 12.

Think New Zealand would have won if they didn't have half the team missing.

Think the French games could get ugly, tbh. We're no great shakes just now and put 60-odd on them in the summer.

NZ have such a weak squad unfortunately. I'll no doubt watch this but I'm not very interested in it.

Couple of joke picks (Sykes, Bridge, Eastmond), and the idea of Myler being our first choice 7 after half a season of being good, an easy international debut, then half a season of being anonymous to the point were Salford stopped picking him scares me ****less. But hey, we don't have a chance anyway.

You should be hoping to God that he is indeed first choice #7 - I could sooo see them playing Eastmond there which would be even worse.

Eastmond's going to be quality. He just doesn't know how to direct a team around the park yet.

Looking forward to seeing Sam Burgess, given he's on his way out here for next season.

Judging by what's been written I hope he can score 4 tries a game, kick 15 goals, play halfback and tackle as hard as anyone or he's going to be a let down.

Didn't catch the game, but the French gave it a fair lash against us. Lead 12-4 at the break before we pulled away second half. Hope to catch highlights later.

England will need to improve so much if they want to be competitive against Australia.

The first half was great to see the French side take the lead, England played with more control in the second half and cut out the silly mistakes which is all they needed to do to win comfortably enough.

That English intercept which was effectively a 12 point play was the big moment in the match, The French would have had some more confidence and been down by only 4 if the pass didn't find the opposition.

Looking forward to Australia vs New Zealand.

Also why pick Lee Smith if he's signed a contract to play Union as soon as this tournament ends? It's like Australia picking KHunt, wouldn't happen!

Aussie are going to win as NZ are doing all the defending and not getting much metres on the hit ups.

The Aussies look off side to me they are really rushing up in defence.
