"This is not the time for namby-pamby promising youngsters who might just do something; not the time for building for the future. Pragmatism rules and they don't come more pragmatic than Rogers."

Hahahaha, his plan to "just deny everything" strikes me as an absolutely sound idea as well, what a wonderful sounding chap."They bring in their hot shot lawyers. What do we do? Hire a QC? It's just bull****," Lawson told the news agency on Friday.
Gary Lawson is a bit of a ****, all told. Was in and out of the NZ teams due to having a crack at the administrators. He's also been waging a war against NZ Thoroughbred Racing after his wife, jockey Judy Lawson was left in hospital for months with head injuries after a fall at a racecourse, so he's had other things on his mind for the last few years. But he would have come out with his abrasive comments regardless of his wife's accident - he's just that kind of person.
And why would a NZ team throw a match when in all likelihood we probably just choked as usual anyway.
I didn't know there was money to be made in throwing bowls matches.
Aww, the thread title tricked me into thinking it was our bowling attack (cricket) being slipped a quiet fiver
