First Recently Retired Players Announced

The Australian Cricket League today released the first announcement of players to be included in the two recently retired players draft rounds. The ACL today announced that five former Queensland players, four with international experience, would be taking part in the first ever season of the Australian Cricket League.

The players will be available to all franchises after round 15 of the draft is completed.

The first five recently retired players are:

Andrew Bichel
Michael Kasprowicz
Martin Love
Jimmy Maher
Clinton Perren

The Australian Cricket League said that further announcements will be imminent over the next two to three days.

Two More Signings Announced

The Australian Cricket League have announced further signings to add to their recently retired players draft. Following on the heals of yesterdays announcement, two more former Queenslanders have agreed to participate in the first season of the ACL.

The ACL are pleased to announced that Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds will be joining the competition.

This now sees seven players added to the Recently Retired Players Draft:

Two More Signings Announced

The Australian Cricket League have announced the signings of two further players to bolster experience to each of the rookie franchises. For the first time, players outside of Queensland have agreed to participate. The new names are Stuart MacGill and Jason Gillespie.
