Aker and Steve Johnson for mine. Jarman's timeframe just counted against him vs Akermanis, and Steve Johnson is just in ahead of Farmer or Matera. Hurts me not to vote for either Didak or Medhurst in this one.

Toss up between Aker and Jeff Farmer because both were/are exceptional forwards, but I can't overlook Aker's Brownlow and general awesomeness.

Akermanis and Johnson, and I'm not sure bias comes into it.

Went with Ryan O'Keeffe, because if I were picking my best side, reckon a player of his type, the smaller CHF, would be bloody handy, and that leaves Aker to do the roving down around the forward line.

Farmer being a dirty **** has cost him, but he's not better than Aker, Johnson or Jarman anyway. The number of cheap shots he got away with was ridiculous. Managed to somehow pull of the great escape after deliberately kneeing a crows player and breaking his eye socket after the play was dead.

Over the period: Aker 1 Johnson 2, but if given the chance to recruit one I would take Jarman in an instant, freakish family!

Aka.

Nathan Brown, I'll choose him for some controversy, was close to the best player in the league before his injury.

Went with Aka and Jarman but on second thought I'm not sure the latter deserves it based on the time frame. Would probably go Brad Johnson instead since Jarman only had 3 or 4 significant years in the period.

Won like 3 games literally off his own boot in 2005 before his tragic injury
