I have no idea how it's a sport either to be honest. Not putting down the great chess players out there, but if you had to run with a piece and avoid cover tacklers to place it in the appropriate position then it'd be a sport.

I was fortunate enough to meet Anand when he was a junior at a chess tournament in Thessaloniki in 1988....

He was a very pleasant young man. Not so young now, though!
