We will have a one-make race, a formula 3 race and a GT race before the main race. Just so you know. The GT championship ('Clapham Cup') is still taking applicants for those who fancy driving cool-looking expensive cars (you have to pay them though) while the others are for generic juniors.

Race 1: Albert Park, Melbourne
Report by Douglas Thornton-Smythe of the Nixontown Times & Guardian
It was a fine old Sunday afternoon in Melbourne when the CricketWeb Racing Series kicked off its first ever season, on foreign soil it has to be said. Attendance was not as strong as originally anticipated, Victorians too interested in the Footy I suppose. However, those who did turn up were very enthusiastic.
The race itself was a fine one, won by Heath Davis for Ford. Davis started at Number 7, but rocketed through the field and took the lead shortly before the end of the first lap. Despite all the efforts of Aloysius Carmody, who ran him rather close in the later parts of the race, Davis' mastery of the wheel was unmatched that day. Desmond Major finished third, taking the last place on the podium. Yesterday's polesitter Tony Harem only finished 9th, seemingly unable to to convert his brilliant form from the rainy qualifying to the dry race conditions.

Promising signs from Fusion Power, happy with the results. Harem particularly impressive on pole. Stoked is the official word.

Heath worryingly quick.

Interesting that we were allowed three cars. Rather worried about getting parts to fix the lot, Volvo might go bankrupt soon.

Everyone was allowed up to four, just no one wanted that many.
