Chubb

International Regular
But wait a minute- who is that coming up behind because that looks like Stephen Roche... that looks like Roche! It's Stephen Roche!

Team so far:
Bernard Hinault (France)
Greg LeMond (USA)
Lucien van Impe (Belgium)
Stephen Roche (Ireland)

Looking good with two of the greatest riders of all time, a great climber and a brilliant, gutsy allrounder.

No Jamee so I'll take Raymond Poulidor

Surely the best rider never to win the Tour de France- or at least the best Frenchman never to win it- also a superb all-round cyclist, Poulidor makes a top-class super-domestique for my leaders, a man who will give everything for the cause. I've always felt sorry for him because he was the fan's favourite, but could never quite beat Anquetil or Merckx.

Team so far:
Bernard Hinault (France)
Greg LeMond (USA)
Lucien van Impe (Belgium)
Stephen Roche (Ireland)
Raymond Poulidor (France)

Mario Cipollini

Cycling's version of Shane Warne when it comes to the fairer ***. Once quoted as saying "I'll like to die in an orgy of ten women" and "If I weren't a professional cyclist, I'd be a porn star". Also won 42 stages of the Giro, 12 in the Tour and 3 in the Vuelta. Won the World's in 2002, as well as Milan-San Remo, Ghent Wevelgem (did so 3 times). Never finished the Tour though as 'cbf' when it came to the mountains.

Team:

Felice Gimondi (ITA)
Charly Gaul (LUX)
Alberto Contador (ESP)
Laurent Jalabert (FRA)
Mario Cipollini (ITA)

Marco Pantani and Louison Bobet for my next picks
In that case:

Tom Boonen

I need somebody who can win sprints and classics.

Team:

Felice Gimondi (ITA)
Charly Gaul (LUX)
Alberto Contador (ESP)
Laurent Jalabert (FRA)
Mario Cipollini (ITA)
