Yeah it really is but for some inexplicable reason I still prefer formula 1, can't give any justification for why apart from that I have been watching it my whole life.

Couldn't be more wrong. I reckon Symonds is a good bloke. Just doesn't have the heart of the other athletes and thus lets the team down from time to time. I don't like him at the moment because there's no way in the world he should be in the test team. Score some runs for Queensland ffs.

Yeah my comment was on the prick bit, if he was seen as a tool he would be hated, but for the most part he's seen as your regular Aussie 'larakin'/bogan.

I seem to remember hearing from a few people in Aus that he was really popular amongst the public, but that was a while ago, his rep might have dropped after his drop in form for the Test team and when he was fishing when he should have been at a team meeting. That said, the perception of whether he is popular or not depends hugely on who you are and where you live, obviously.

Murray has made it clear that when it comes to tennis he's proud to play for GB, and he's proud to be called British, which is all you can expect from him really, cant blame him for being annoyed when people call him English.
That grates as well, when are the UK just going to cast off the seperate home nations and make them independant? How can you have a guy playing for GB, who hates 80% of GB?

He doesn't hate 80% of GB, he just doesn't like being called English and hates the English football team (everyone does).

Turning up at every tournament hyping themselves up like they are the chosen ones then producing utter tripe on the field. That really grinds my gears

Worst commentator in any sport ever. EVER. Why the BBC continue to employ him will forever confuse me. Not only is his commentary made up entirely of a list of about 5 clichés, but a minute's silence for Leon Walker was just held at the Wakefield - St Helens game. About 3 seconds after it started he goes "and now, silence around the ground." Yeah, apart from you, big gob. STFU and show some respect.

He's the first cousin to this bloke, whose method of inspiring his team in times of crisis is to have a paddy, try to storm off and then sit down on the pitch.

Whole family clearly lacking in moral fibre.

Having watch alot of sports with salary caps in Aus, It ****s me to tears that football clubs in Europe go on about success when it's bascially all about money these days. Any lower ranked club gets raided before they can become successful.
