I seem to remember hearing from a few people in Aus that he was really popular amongst the public, but that was a while ago, his rep might have dropped after his drop in form for the Test team and when he was fishing when he should have been at a team meeting. That said, the perception of whether he is popular or not depends hugely on who you are and where you live, obviously.

Not only is his commentary made up entirely of a list of about 5 clichés, but a minute's silence for Leon Walker was just held at the Wakefield - St Helens game. About 3 seconds after it started he goes "and now, silence around the ground." Yeah, apart from you, big gob. STFU and show some respect.

Having watch alot of sports with salary caps in Aus, It ****s me to tears that football clubs in Europe go on about success when it's bascially all about money these days. Any lower ranked club gets raided before they can become successful.
