It's not going to get them over the hump (IMO) but with the changes coming in the CBA it was definitely the right move for them to make. Once the league year ticks over they wouldn't have been able to add anyone half as good as Beal, may as well do it. They weren't getting Lillard so it's literally the best they could add.
I agree with what Woj said re: The Wiz here. They paving the way to accumulate frp's for bad contracts and hoping to strike gold somewhere along the line. Won't be next season though, it's shaping up to be a poor class so they're probably looking years ahead now

Wiz were screwed the moment they gave Beal the no trade clause. Insanity that they gave him that, really. Probably the most poorly managed franchise of the last 30 years. At least the GM is finally being allowed to attempt a proper rebuild.

Giving Wall a supermax a year before it was due & then having him wreck his knee before it kicked in didn’t help either

Was either Smart or Brown who was going

Celtics have stacked up picks so will probably do more plus rumoured to be in on CP3 if waived

Yeah I don’t see him replacing Klay in the backcourt…I know Poole underperformed last year but how is replacing him with an over the hill injury-prone veteran going to improve their championship chances?

Wouldn't be stunned if there was another move at some point with CP. Maybe in-season, ala. Russell.

Weird that Whitmore fell so far and a great get for Houston. Even if the mystery injury worries are bad, at 20, there's no risk. Got two of the top 5 talents in the draft with 4 and 20.

Logic dictates that Dame must be traded as the Blazers now have their backcourt of the future and they don’t fit his timeline

History says that they won’t do it
