They were really bad at times but there was flashes of it. They need to get the ball running through Pau's hands at the high post similar to Vlade and Webber with the Kings. In any case, the team will only go as far as Kobe's ego will allow them.

Also how good was inside trax in the celts-heat game! Gone from being generic coaching garbage where they cant show tactics so actually showing guys like paul peirce on court communication/chatter. So much more interesting.
I would pay more for league pass if it was just on court paul peirce mic'd up instead of idiots like reggie miller. And not an insignificant amount either, like way more. "you're thinking too much Rondo" = stop trying to create and give me the rock |

Davis looks very promising. Doesn't look too skinny at all.

Watching DMC last night after a long time, it's crazy how good he already is, but he'll probably bounce around/get paid less than his worth due to his hot headed-ness.
Some nice play from our bench last night. A lot of shots weren't going down for stretches, but they ran nice plays throughout the game so it's nice to see them gelling together already and playing good defense. Seriously good coach we got here. I mean, we all knew he was a defensive guru, but his offense past his first season with us is underrated. Last edited by nightprowler10; 01-11-2012 at 08:02 AM. |

Anyone else think Eric Gordon is trying to get traded? Doctors say they can't find anything wrong with him, he says he can't play. Vaging out bigger than anyone in the league. I thought the Hornets were crazy to match that sheet. Should've let the guy walk.

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus. What's crazy is that his agent was really open about EG not really wanting to be in NO. "His heart is in Phoenix" ffs. Should've cut him loose and signed OJ Mayo instead.

Their offence isn't the problem, it's been great, they've shot the ball over 50% and all their best players have scored the ball. Their problem is the defensive end, especially as you can see that Dwight isn't back to full fitness. Their starting 5 is Dwight, Metta and 3 defensive liabilities at their position, and everyone on the bench can't defend (why they let Barnes go I'll never know). Apart from their turnovers (part of which is just a statistical aberration, part of which is unfamiliarity with each other and the sets, which will change) the offense is fine. The media has jumped on it because it has a name, and if any of them actually understood basketball they'd know what the real problem is.

I haven't watched very much of the new look Lakers so far outside of the Clippers game, but I've read enough about the games I feel where I don't think I'm talking completely out of my ass. The problem with the Princeton offense, from what I understand, isn't that it is hampering their scoring, it's that it doesn't make the best possible use of the talent (see Nash) they've acquired. From what I've read, it sounds like a slightly different version of the triangle offense. If that's what they would like to keep running, then might as well trade Nash to beef up your bench and get better defensively, because playing a half court offense on every possession doesn't seem to be the best use of his talents.
