Ok, so Williams to the Nets is an absolute steal but then there's the other trades.

Perkins for Green is great for OKC and helps the Celtics get younger and more atheltic, Portland giving up expirings and first rounders for Gerald Wallace is a huge risk especially if LMA ends up going down and they need the first rounders. Need to et my head around them first though. Big night of trades. Melo literally did put the rest of the league on hold.

I don't know what the Celts are doing. Trading Perk and Erden when both the O'Neals are injured? And now who guards Dwight? I know both Shaq and Jermaine are solid against him but he's getting better down low and they're getting older.

Perk wouldn't resign with them and they needed to get something for him. Green is a decent prospect and Krstic isn't that bad. They lose a bit of man defence (their team defence should cover a bit of that) but he's got more offence than Perkins does, nice midrange and can at times knock a long ball down.

All came down to KP not signing the extension. With Delonte back, Nate was expendable.

Really thought we were going to pull the trigger and trade for JR Smith or something. Glad we didn't. I'm still hoping to pick up a 2 guard from the FA.

Oh and...

Thinking about this more, and I was quite wrong. Still think they probably gave up more than they needed to, but it makes next to no difference, they've got Melo ffs.

yep...they are not contenders, 'melo and amar'e are both poor defenders...and even if they get cp3 through free agency next season, they will still remain an inferior defensive team...their stars need to be willing and able to defend for them to get into contender discussion...

Haha indeed

Not saying they're anything like contenders yet (a long way from it actually), but they're a better for having him on the team.

they are clearly one of the best teams in the regular season and rose is playing at mvp-level...but having the talent isn't really enough in the post-season...in my opinion they need to grind out a couple of tough 7 game series to really get into contender discussion...

YouTube - NBA heads to Europe

Itstl. Did anyone go to this game in London?

Also, if you did, you better have been cheering for the Toronto Raptors

Heat getting schooled at San Antonio. Spurs just not missing from outside the arc, and Miami's D has been nothing short of woeful.

So...Bulls and Heat both blow 20 point leads against their respective opponents. Bulls follow up with a great defensive performance and abuse Magic, while Heat follow up by taking a 30 point pummeling. Loving this.

We're still taking applications if anyone is interested in jumping on the Bulls bandwagon.

Lol at 8th seed in the East... no one wants it, 35 wins will earn you a 3 night stay in Boston, with a couple of b'ball games thrown in there.

Celtics looking good... Bulls missing another go to scorer to do it this year, Miami likewise with an inside presence. Liking OKC if Perk can get fit.
